Covered forms (excerpt): ESt 1 A (main form), Anlage N (including double household), Anlage Kind, Anlage Vorsorgeaufwand, Anlage AV (Riester), Anlage Haushaltsnahe Aufwendungen (§ 35a EStG). Special expenses and extraordinary burdens are recorded in the main form. The scope is continuously expanding.
Your data is encrypted at all times according to the latest security standards. We use the same encryption technologies as the military or online banking – it doesn’t get more secure than this. As a certified ELSTER PARTNER, your data is also encrypted during transmission to the tax office. We only send usage data to the tax office if you explicitly agree.
We use an official ELSTER interface of the tax authorities, which allows us to transmit your tax return quickly and securely in accordance with § 87c of the Tax Code. Since our app was developed together with tax advisors, you can be confident in its legal accuracy.
We do not offer classic tax consultation. Our app has been developed in collaboration with renowned tax advisors and lawyers, but we do not currently provide individual tax advisory services.
Filing your tax return electronically with Elster is very complicated. Our app makes it much easier and digitizes every step of your tax return: no complex registration, an intuitive interface, and simple questions. You don’t have to fill out complicated forms! You also get a free estimate of your tax refund! Thanks to automatic plausibility checks, errors in your tax return are minimized.
You can use DigitalForest almost completely free. Use our app without any cost to find out whether you’re eligible for a tax refund and how much it might be. A fee is only charged when you decide to submit your tax return to the appropriate tax office. The cost is a one-time fee of 39.99 euros.
In 2025, you normally submit your tax return for the 2024 tax year. However, you can also voluntarily file returns retroactively for 2023, 2022, and 2021 to claim your refunds for those years.
